Role overview

Join our dynamic finance team in a pivotal role as a Solvency II Reporting Manager. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in various finance activities and play a key role in managing, producing, and reviewing Solvency II Pillar 3 reports and other regulatory returns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, and produce Solvency II Pillar 3 reports and regulatory returns quarterly and annually for a start up insurance company.
  • Analyze technical requirements and interpret changes to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
  • Produce documentation of processes and procedures for the first year of Solvency II reporting.
  • Support finance reporting requirements and projects as needed, including producing additional regulatory returns.
  • Assist in preparing UK GAAP financial statements and respond to external and internal audit queries for the first year of reporting.
  • Document processes to minimize dependencies and facilitate cross-skilling within the team.

Requirements:

  • Qualified ACA or equivalent with insurance industry experience.
  • Operational expertise in Solvency II.
  • Proven track record in preparing and reviewing Solvency II and tax returns.
  • Proficiency in Solvency II reporting software, especially FS Assist.
  • Nice to have: Experience in preparing UK GAAP financial statements.
  • Strong soft skills including being a self starter, adaptability, effective communication, attention to detail, and leadership capabilities.
