We’re looking for a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team at Wakam, where we're the driving force behind strategic financial decision-making and operational excellence. Safeguards Wakam's financial health through strategic fiscal management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
The Finance team plays a crucial role in supporting the company's growth objectives, from financial planning and analysis to risk management and compliance, we're committed to driving efficiency and maximizing value across the organization.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Ensuring financial accuracy and compliance, the Accounting & Tax team manages Wakam's financial reports to support the company's financial health and growth.
- Implement and lead the consolidation process of financial statements for the entire organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with French GAAP.
- Ensure regulatory Solvency 2 reporting (Pillar 3) for French and UK regulators.
- Animate and manage the quarterly accounting closing process. Analyze and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances, addressing any discrepancies.
- Coordinate with finance teams across different departments and entities to gather financial datas for consolidation purposes.
- Ensure the implementation and improvements of financial consolidation processes or others accounting projects to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Manage and prepare process for the delivery of RSR and SFCR (Solvency 2).
- Provide support during audits, responding to inquiries and ensuring all necessary documentation is available.
- Stay updated with regulatory changes and accounting standards related to consolidation and communicate implications to the finance team.
Profile requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is required.
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience on a similar role in the insurance industry or insurance practice in consulting/audit firm
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, on French Gaap and consolidation techniques.
- Fluent in english and french
- Proficient to advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Solid analytical and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
