Winton’s China Client Solutions team is seeking to recruit a Business Development for its dedicated Greater China business. The successful candidate will: 1) execute sales and client service strategy; and 2) drive AUM and new revenue opportunities with distribution-type and institution-type clients in Mainland China and Hong Kong (with primary focus on China-based clients).

 

Responsibilities:

  • Exercise the highest standards of ethics and care in safeguarding the interests of the company and the company’s clients.
  • Increase regional AUM by building proper sales strategy and successfully marketing and selling quantitative product funds to investors.
  • Plan roadshows and events, including regular update meetings with existing and prospective clients.
  • Support business relationships through frequent interaction; serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities to promote Winton’s brand within institutions and distribution channels.
  • Represent the company at relevant industry conferences.
  • Implement world-class client service, including timely and accurate responses to client inquiries.

We are looking for:

  • At least eight years of sales experience in a global investment management firm or local hedge funds, with meaningful experience targeting a variety of clients (e.g., bank wealth, institutions, and distribution channels such as securities WM and private banking).
  • Proven business development case.
  • Exceptional communication skills in both Mandarin and English.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of quantitative investment strategies.
  • A strong academic record from a top college or university; postgraduate degree and/or CFA designation a plus.
  • Ability to travel regularly.
  • Ability to sell complex investment strategies to sophisticated investors.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across the business units.
