The Role
As a Chief Financial Officer (f/m/d) you will be responsible for leading the Finance and Legal & Compliance departments. Become part of a top-tier C-level team, leveraging their collective strength. Experience a collaborative board environment and work closely with a high-performing team that reports directly to you.
Your Responsibilities
- You are in charge of supervising the teams: Finance and Legal & Compliance and setting the strategic direction of those departments in alignment with the overall company strategy.
- You contribute to defining the overall future growth strategy.
- You are managing and building all types of financing, i.e. debt and equity.
- You have full ownership of P&L and cash flow budgeting processes, ongoing consolidation, audit processes, and investor reporting.
- You are contributing to funding rounds and short- to long-term financing of the company’s growth.
- You collaborate with the advisory board and maintain investor relations.
- You develop and take our controlling as well as accounting operations and risk management processes to the next level, assume responsibility for tax reporting and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
- You lead operational excellence by creating appropriate structure, process, and reporting in all corresponding areas
What you will bring to the table
- Expertise in developing comprehensive company strategies.
- Due diligence for growth and private equity funding rounds, to secure substantial capital & first-hand experience in working with investors.
- Strong background in managing P&L, cash flow, budgeting, accounting, and controlling, alongside in-depth knowledge of tax reporting and compliance.
- Track record of guiding companies through international expansion, selecting and collaborating with top-tier corporate lawyers and tax advisors.
- Skilled in communicating financial strategies to non-finance departments and inspiring team engagement.
- Minimum of five years in a senior finance role, preferably as VP Finance or CFO.
- Proficiency in English with experience in international business settings; German language skills a strong asset.
- Demonstrated capability in managing diverse financing structures including debt, mezzanine, and equity, and in structuring these financial instruments.
- Excitement for and understanding of M&A, crucial for facilitating company growth.
- Experience in developing and implementing payment and pricing.
