WHAT WE DO

A diverse team of Traders, Quantitative Researchers, Technologists and Operations personnel closely collaborate to solve problems and develop cutting-edge models and systematic trading strategies.

Responsibilities

Manage XY’s Linux, Windows, DB and VM infrastructure locally and in remote Data Centres (including major cloud providers)
Responsible for our proprietary trading system server operations through active/passive monitoring; improving monitoring processes
Take strong ownership of the environment and work with Technology and Trading operations to manage, evolve and improve our trading systems
Automate repetitive system and network administration tasks
Diagnose and troubleshoot systems and follow-up with resolution, including recommendations for improvements
Collaborate with other senior technology and trading staff on vision and technical direction to foster a resilient and reliable production infrastructure

Skills & Experience

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related experience
Experience across a variety of platforms and OS (AWS, Azure, Linux, Windows, virtual environments)
Familiar with automation tools, configuration management tools, principles and implementation such as Ansible and scripting with python/bash
Experience with CI/CD, orchestration and management tools e.g., Terraform, Kubernetes, etc.
Experience with system monitoring tools e.g., Zabbix, and recommendations on improvements
Knowledge of database systems, including MySQL and PostgreSQL

Desirable, but not essential

A background in a proprietary trading firm
Experience in basic network administration in a Cisco environment, able to troubleshoot
A holder of Azure Solutions / CCNA/MSCE / Linux certification would be an advantage
