The role
This is a varied role supporting the Group Tax Director with tax coordination of all external reporting requirements for the Global Yondr business covering EMEA, APAC and the Americas. This will include assistance in managing the year-end audit and financial reporting requirements, as well as working with our local professional advisors to ensure that all tax returns (direct & indirect) are completed accurately and on time. You will also work closely with the wider Finance team to coordinate responses and resolve any issues that arise, and assist with the reconciliation of all tax related balances within our general ledger.
Main responsibilities
/ Collaborate with the Group Tax Director to provide tax advice to the business on targeted projects and on an ad hoc basis
/ Coordination of tax compliance processes (CIT/VAT/GST/WHT) including reviewing filings prepared by external advisors, related accounting and GL reconciliations and instructing payments
/ Support the coordination of the group audit, including day to day interactions with the auditors to ensure information flow to and from the Yondr team
/ Assist with preparing tax accounting provisions for management and financial statements
/ Assist with the preparation of transfer pricing and country by country reporting requirements
/ Manage tax related group P&L and Balance Sheet entries as part of month end and quarterly processes
Qualifications and experience
/ Qualified tax professional (ATT/CTA/HMRC trained or equivalent) at least 2 years PQE
/ Experience providing international tax advice
/ Experience with UK and Global tax compliance
/ Strong knowledge and experience of international tax principles, IFRS, tax reporting and accounting. US GAAP experience is a bonus
/ Experience within the real estate or private equity sectors is strongly desirable
/ Experience with US taxes included Sales and Use Tax and State property taxes is desirable
/ Good understanding of tax issues for a multinational group: VAT/WHT/Corporation Tax, other experience of tax areas is a bonus
/ Financial audit experience
/ Driven and capable of driving process change and improvement
/ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with people at all levels internally and externally
