The role

 

The Group Accountant is responsible for assisting the financial reporting and consolidation of Yondr. This includes the following: month end close, financial reporting, general ledger, consolidation, inter-company, audit, process improvement and documentation and employee development. 

 

Main responsibilities

 

/ Managing some technical aspects of the financial reporting tool

/ Providing technical accounting advisory across the Group

/ P&L & BS analysis and commentary

/ Look after complex eliminations 

/ Manage/prepare sections of the annual report 

/ Work with the Group auditors

/ Support Group consolidation and development of associated systems and process

/ Assist with holding company accounts preparation 

/ Support Head of Financial Reporting on ad-hoc activities

/ P&L & BS analysis and commentary

 

Qualifications and experience

 

/ Experience of group consolidations (multi-currency desirable) 

/ Ideally from an audit background with experience in a large Accountancy practice

/ ACA, CA or ACCA (or other internationally recognised professional accounting qualification)

/ Experience within an international setting

/ Strong quality control bias, problem solver

/ Detail oriented, methodical, and conscientious

/ Ability to interact with people at all levels

/ Strong oral and written communications skills

/ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

/ Strong technical accounting skills (IFRS, US GAAP (desirable)

/ Organisational and time management skills; adhere to strict deadlines
