Following YouGov’s transformational acquisition of the European CPS business in 2024, the YouGov Group is operating an integration programme, with employee policy alignment and harmonisation being a key area. Example of the policies that you will be supporting the team with updating and harmonising include the Global Code of Conduct & Ethics, Compliance policies, Data Privacy policies, Delegated Authority Rules, and Power of Attorney policies. You will have a strong track record in regulatory compliance in international environments, ideally with a focus on Europe.

This fixed-term contract (FTC) which runs until the end of December 2025 and follows a hybrid work model, requiring at least two days per week in the office. We support your work-life balance with a mix of in-office collaboration and home-based productivity.

Regrettably, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship, so you must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis.

 

While working as a Governance, Risk & Compliance Policy Manager, you will be required to: 

  • Support with the development, delivery and implementation of governance and compliance policies
  • Partner with internal function leads to harmonisation policies across YouGov’s existing business and a recently acquired business unit
  • Conduct thorough analysis of policies to identify areas for harmonisation and improvement
  • Support with updating the Group’s legislation tracker
  • Engage collaboratively across departments on cross-functional policy harmonisation and integration
  • Provide advice on regulatory interpretation and policy requirements
  • Produce and present well-written reports, policy documents, committee and board papers and provide specialist advice, support and briefings on complex cross-border policy issues as and when required
  • Work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, establishing influential relationships and contribute effectively to internal working groups
  • Share information and expertise willingly, with authority and persuasiveness
  • Working with the internal communications teams to ensure there is a thorough and consistent approach to rolling out the policy changes to the business including drafting communications or briefing sessions
  • Any other duties as required by line manager

 

These are the essential you will need to get an interview:

  • A degree in law or an equivalent qualification
  • 3-5 years of demonstrable UK and European experience in designing employee policies to meet existing and upcoming legal and regulatory requirements as well as company needs and culture
  • Experience drafting high-quality and easy-to-follow policy and procedure documents
  • Experience in developing training modules to implement employee policies
  • Strong numerical and analytical abilities
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills

  • Professional certifications related to governance, risk management or compliance are highly valued
