You will join a very diverse and exiting team of Front-end Engineers. We are international, we are remote, and we are highly motivated to push for best practices. A senior engineer is expected to mentor colleagues and lead more complex initiatives but everyone in the team should be working on continuous improvement, no matter their level.
About the role
You will collaborate with product and design teams to build high-value features, drive the evolution of our architecture and system, and ensure the availability, scalability, and efficiency of our services. You will mentor team members, foster technical excellence, and lead cross-functional initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Work on impactful projects with high volumes of production traffic that touch the lives of millions of users globally.
- Write simple, maintainable code with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Define comprehensive testing strategies and implement automated tests to ensure quality.
- Take ownership of your code, driving it to production through a self-service continuous delivery pipeline and production infrastructure.
- Utilize container orchestration and monitoring technologies to ensure the reliability and scalability of our services.
- Lead system design and architecture discussions, considering the impact of technical decisions on performance and scalability.
- Own the entire software lifecycle, from conception to deployment and maintenance.
- Proactively mentor and support other engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
- Propose and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and productivity.

- Collaboration & documentation tools: JIRA, Confluence, Slack, Miro
- Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
- Infrastructure as code: Terraform, Vault
- Cloud services: AWS
- Monitoring and analytics: Grafana, ELK Stack, New Relic
- Version control: GitLab
- Frontend frameworks and libraries: Angular (JS and 2+), Vanilla JS, Next JS, React, TypeScript
- Testing frameworks: Jest, Playwright
- Styling: SASS, Webpack
Key Skills & Experience
- Significant experience in building frontend applications, demonstrating a depth of expertise in frontend development.
- Substantial experience working with the majority of our tech-stack, indicating a strong familiarity with the tools and technologies we utilize.
- Solid proficiency in modern testing principles.
- Extensive experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You excel in crafting captivating public-facing frontend applications and play a pivotal role in shaping the architectural solutions for the products you're involved with.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Proven track record in developing intricate software systems that have been effectively delivered to end users.
- Engagement in addressing technical debt as part of the software development process.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and AWS technologies, or willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Capability to think abstractly and adeptly navigate ambiguous or undefined problems.
- Experience thriving in a globally distributed remote work environment.
- Proactively identifies risks and adopts an impact-centric approach to problem-solving, showcasing a strong track record of maintaining and taking ownership of monolithic services.
- Demonstrates visible contributions to open-source projects
