The Role

As a Research Manager, you will collaborate closely with your research team and clients to develop and manage client accounts, overseeing a variety of projects, including PR, advertising, brand health and tracking, customer experience, and new product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Management: Supervise and mentor 1-2 Research Executives, guiding them through essential project tasks such as questionnaire design, scripting online surveys, data analytics, and report writing. Lead the entire research process from project setup to delivery.
  • Project Management: Coordinate and manage complex projects independently or as part of a team. Collaborate with the Research Director on project plans, resources, deliverables, and problem-solving.
  • Operational Collaboration: Work effectively with operational teams in YouGov’s Centre of Excellence (CENX) to ensure efficient fieldwork management and data processing.
  • Account Management: Partner with the Research Director on account management to understand client needs, advocate for best research practices, and provide valuable insights.
  • New Business Development: Prepare quotations and proposals in response to research briefs.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze research results to identify key insights and demographic trends. Perform regression modeling to identify drivers of customer experience, retention, brand consideration, and purchase intent. Prepare clear, accurate, and compelling reports.
  • Efficiency Improvement: Proactively identify ways to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery to ensure high-quality outputs are sustainably delivered within the research team.

Required Qualifications

  • A proactive and positive attitude towards learning and assisting others.
  • Self-discipline and motivation.
  • Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong understanding of research design, online research methodologies, sampling, questionnaire design, quotas, weighting, and significance testing.
  • At least 5 years of market research experience in an agency.
  • Excellent written, oral, and electronic communication skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Sciences, or Business/Commerce are highly regarded.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Singapore citizen or permanent resident with working rights.
