JOB DESCRIPTION        

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Security Specialist to join our Global IT Team.

The primary objective of this position will be to manage IT security controls on YouGov Information assets worldwide. This role will also provide support and assistance to our global IT team when required.

In this role, you will manage the security solutions protecting valuable information assets by analysing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal IT Service Desk.

You will also be involved in implementing new security solutions as part of ongoing improvement to security controls and risk mitigation.

You will be involved in Global IT projects with the larger IT team and be expected to contribute to these projects, along with learning new skills and technologies as you go along.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain security solutions such as endpoint protection, mobile device management and patch management for company devices.
  • Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to IT security incidents, prioritising these as needed.
  • Assist with the onboarding process of new users and the offboarding process of users leaving YouGov.
  • Assist in the implementation of new security solutions such as Data Loss Prevention, privileged access management, application security, etc.,
  • Produce accurate reporting on security solutions including antivirus, mobile device management and patch management.
  • Assist in maintaining an inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

Education and/or Experience

Qualified candidate will have the following:

  • Educated to degree level or holds a professional qualification (CISSP, CISM, SHE, CompTIA+) or equivalent.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows, Linux and MacOS operating systems.

Working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Active Directory, EntraID, Group Policy, and Microsoft Exchange.

  • Working knowledge of Windows Server operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of Cloud Services from Azure and AWS.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SCCM and Intune
  • Working knowledge of service desk ticketing software.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, Wi-Fi, and LAN concepts.
  • Experience with security solutions (i.e., antivirus, firewall, secure configuration, vulnerability assessment, and patch management).

Experience working with or using mobile device management systems such as JAMF and Intune

 

The following experience would be a benefit:

  • Experience with DLP solutions including Microsoft DLP
  • Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam
  • Experience with Office 365, Entra and Azure
  • Experience with AWS Security
  • Experience working with virtual desktop environments (i.e. VMWare View)
  • Experience with server virtualisation (i.e. VMWare or HyperV)
  • Experience working with Mac OSX
  • Experience working with Linux
