We're seeking a dynamic Global Collections Manager to join our growing finance team based in Bucharest. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee the development and execution of effective collections strategies across our international markets, ensuring timely debt recovery and optimising cash flow. 

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff): 

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement tailored collections strategies for diverse regions and customer segments, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a global collections team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to facilitate prompt payment and resolve disputes.
  • Risk Management: Assess credit risk, implement control measures, and collaborate with legal teams to mitigate exposure to bad debt.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Prepare comprehensive reports, analyse data, and identify opportunities to optimise collections processes and cash flow.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to international and local regulations, staying abreast of changes in the financial landscape.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CCE) preferred.
  • Extensive experience in collections, credit management, or a similar financial role, with at least 3-5 years in a global leadership position.
  • Proven track record of managing and leading diverse, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong understanding of international financial regulations and credit control practices.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, with fluency in multiple languages a plus.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed.
  • Knowledge of regional markets in EMEA, APAC, and the US.
