YouGov is expanding its sales organisation and is seeking to recruit a highly experienced Business Development Executive with a strong new business focus and established industry knowledge of consumer insights and market research tools.
Reporting into the Head of SMB, the person for this role will be precise and analytical; enjoy solving problems and will continually strive to provide the best levels of customer service to YouGov’s clients. Your core objective is to drive achievement of a sales target through renewals, cross-selling and upselling, ultimately increasing the value of your account group year on year including Finance, Insurance, Travel & Tourism, Media and PR Agencies.
What experience do I need?
- Relevant qualifications in Business, Marketing, Market research, or related subjects
- Experience in a performance-driven sales role ideally with research and insights experience
- Knowledge and experience (4-5 years) of Business Development and/or Account Management/Subscription Sales
- Ability to conduct a comprehensive territory analysis to identify key opportunities from prospective clients.
- Proven track record of being able to collaborate with internal teams and sector experts for the benefit of your clients
- Ability to uncover client research needs by asking the right questions
- Appropriate solution & proposal development and collaborative sales experience
- Ability to maintain, up-to-date client and prospect information in our CRM system (Salesforce)
- Consistently generate new opportunities, ensuring a steady pipeline to meet and exceed targets
- Proven track record of sales success, with a hunger for exceeding targets
- Analytical, with strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset
- Self-motivated and organised with a knowledge of the MEDDPICC and Challenger sales approaches
