YouGov expanding its sales organization and is seeking to recruit a highly experienced professional with a strong new business focus and established industry knowledge of consumer insights and market research tools.

As an Account Manager at YouGov, your core objective is to drive achievement of a sales target for the US through renewals, cross-selling and upselling, ultimately increasing the value of your account group year on year. The clients will be from a range of industries that include but are not limited to Retail, L&E brands, Destinations, Airlines, Media and PR Agencies amongst others giving you exposure to a wide range of clients with diverse research needs. Reporting into the CEM VP, you’ll be the day-to-day commercial lead for a group of accounts spread across a range of industries. As part of growing our key accounts, you will join client calls. You will work with the CEM VP to build up account growth plans for all existing clients in your account group and also contribute to strategic targeting of brands/sectors for marketing to target and develop new business opportunities.

 What will I be delivering?

  • Relevant Studies - (Business, Marketing, Market research, or related subjects)
  • Experience in a performance-driven role from a media or communications agency preferably but would also consider brand marketing and insights team experience
  • Knowledge and experience (4-5 years) of Business Development and Key Account Management/Subscription Sales ideally from the Media, communications or research agency world
  • Ability to uncover client research needs by asking the right questions
  • Appropriate solution & proposal development and collaborative sales experience
  • Excellent grasp of research methodologies and applications to suit client objectives

 

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Excellent written, oral and electronic communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Client management/Procurement systems like Ariba would be a plus
  • Competent at building effective strategic relationships with clients
  • Collaborate effectively within a project and team setting
  • Passionate about data, research, tech & innovation

 

For roles based in New York, Colorado or Washington State, the base salary hiring range for this position is $85,000.00 - $100,000.00. Compensation offered will be determined by multiple factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation and additional benefits. All US based full time employees are eligible for the following benefits:
