As a Research Associate at YouGov, you'll play a key role in connecting data to actionable insights. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):

  • Design impactful research: Create tailored questionnaires and research designs to meet client objectives, even under tight deadlines.
  • Manage client relationships: Serve as the primary contact, liaising effectively with clients and collaborators.
  • Drive project success: Coordinate tasks to ensure projects run smoothly and are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Handle pricing and proposals: Cost projects across various methods and audiences and draft proposals to win new business.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with research suppliers to ensure data accuracy and alignment with YouGov’s methodologies.
  • Analyze and interpret data: Use your statistical expertise to guide clients through results and recognize inconsistencies.
  • Respond to opportunities: Handle inquiries, interpret specifications, and recommend tailored research solutions.

These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview:

  • Experience: 1–2 years in market research, with a strong grasp of primary research methods.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple research projects, including survey design, client communication, and data analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to manage client relationships and present findings effectively.
  • Solid MS Office skills and familiarity with basic statistical methods.
  • Ability to identify issues in data and provide meaningful recommendations.                                                  

It would be great if you had these to, but we’ll support you if you don’t:

  • Experience with both B2B and B2C research projects.
  • Problem-solving ability: Skills in negotiating, influencing, and using initiative to address challenges.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data with attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.

For roles based in California, New York, Colorado or Washington State, the base salary hiring range for this position is $62,500 - 69,000 USD

Compensation offered will be determined by multiple factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation and additional benefits.
