Job Description

The Group FP&A and IR analyst is a new role reporting to the Group FP&A Manager. The role will be focused on FP&A activities but also working with the Investor Relations Director providing regular analysis and support around trading updates and results announcements. It is a great opportunity for someone who is commercially minded, to get lots of learning and growth across a global business.

Within FP&A, the role will assist in the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes, administration of the Workday Adaptive Planning system, and maintenance and design of regular FP&A reporting outputs – helping to ensure current and future financial performance is understood across YouGov globally.

Within IR, the role will assist in the preparation for external announcements, compiling views of analyst consensus, monitoring industry and competitor developments, and establishing and maintaining the CRM database.

  • Provide insights to the business to understand drivers of sales and revenue performance and hit our ambitious growth plans
  • Work with budget holders and key stakeholders to ensure a cost-conscious approach in YouGov’s activities
  • Assist with co-ordinating budgeting and forecasting activities globally, working with Finance Teams in the Americas, EMEA, APAC and UK – including the administration of the Workday Adaptive Planning tool
  • Lead on the construction of reporting and presentations that give clear insights to Finance, the business, Executives / the Board, investors and other external stakeholders
  • Own a suite of weekly and monthly reporting deliverables, both financial and commercial
  • Support the communication of the company’s financial performance, strategy, and outlook to the investment community through presentations, conference calls, press releases, etc.
  • Monitor and analyse competitor and industry trends as well as internal KPIs to identify potential risks and opportunities
  • Assist with preparing responses to incoming investor/analyst queries and scheduling investor meetings
  • Support the production of the company’s annual report, including drafting content and gathering data from internal stakeholders
  • Work with Group Finance, Finance Operations and the Regional Finance heads to provide support on ad hoc projects

Qualifications and key attributes

  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in finance, accounting, business or a related field, or similar gained through experience
  • Three (3) or more years’ work experience in a relevant role
  • Ability to understand the different drivers of a business performance and how these reflect in financial statements
  • Working knowledge of equity markets
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, data manipulation, visualization
  • Proficiency using reporting platforms such as PowerBI (or similar e.g. QlikView or Tableau)
  • Ability to turn data into insights and actions, with good commercial awareness and communication skills
  • Driven and action-oriented personality, ability to learn quickly and nurture professional relationships

Shift Timings - 11am - 8 pm IST Monday - Friday
