Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for problem-solving and relationship management? As a Technical Project Manager, you'll serve as the bridge between technical teams and clients, translating client needs into actionable specifications while ensuring the delivery of high-quality datasets. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):
- Translate client requirements into technical specifications for dataset variables.
- Standardize Processes by developing and maintaining systems to ensure quality and consistency in dataset delivery, including variable recoding to meet client needs.
- Create and implement a standardized process for dataset inspection to confirm accuracy and completeness.
- Partner with internal teams to deliver high-quality work for major clients.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, troubleshoot issues, and refine processes to meet expectations.
- Organize Workflows.
- Design transparent and effective workflows, including clear plans, milestones, and deliverables.
These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview:
- 3+ years of experience in project management, ideally within a market research vendor or agency.
- Familiarity with quantitative survey research and common data structures.
- Proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously while setting clear priorities.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details for non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across distributed teams without formal authority.
- Strong organizational skills, including creating processes to meet deadlines consistently.
- Self-motivation and proactiveness, with minimal need for supervision.
- Creative problem-solving mindset with a commitment to quality and attention to detail.

- Demonstrated success in troubleshooting and resolving client requests.
- Proven ability to design processes and systems that ensure delivery milestones are met.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments, managing distributed teams, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Technical acumen to partner effectively with engineers and researchers while serving as the client-facing project lead.
For roles based in California, New York, Colorado or Washington State, the base salary hiring range for this position is $100,000 - 125,000 USD
Compensation offered will be determined by multiple factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation and additional benefits.
