Here’s a summary of the role:
Reporting to the sector Head, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining new and existing clients from a wide range of sectors. You will build key relationships with clients and execute various research projects with support from the wider sector team. This position sits within the Custom Insight department.
Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):
- Be a research expert (quantitative research, primarily, but experience of qualitative research is also useful) and a go to internal as well as external resource for advice, guidance and knowledge on key sector related issues
- Managing projects from inception to delivery with support from the wider team. This will include but not be limited to:
- Recommending appropriate method of data collection to meet research objectives
- Designing surveys which are tightly focused on our clients’ objectives
- Fieldwork management: monitoring fieldwork for errors or unexpected abnormalities and correcting any problems to ensure the best possible outcome
- Delivering projects to clients, managing de-briefs with senior stakeholders and ensuring data is interpreted correctly by our clients
- Involvement in business development opportunities by presenting the sector’s capabilities both to internal as well as external clients
- Writing proposals and producing costs for a range of different projects (including both qualitative and quantitative methods)
- Dealing with speculative enquiries and to interpret requirements of a research specification
- Working closely with the Survey Management team where necessary
- Becoming acquainted with key issues relevant to our clients and understanding the implications for the research design; develop knowledge of both reputation and business research.
- Conducting research among hard-to-reach audiences, e.g. politicians, business leaders, journalists, NGOs.

- Degree qualified in a related subject
- 3 - 5 years’ work-related experience
- Quantitative research skills and experience are necessary, qualitative research skills and experience
