Here’s a summary of the role:
We are looking for a Senior Research Executive to join our Public Sector & Charities team here at YouGov! This key role will draw on a mix of people-management, commercial and quantitative research skills. You’ll be responsible for direct management, capacity, quality and output of sub-teams of researchers for the Public Sector & Charities team. As a Research Manager you would lead some projects, managing the work of junior staff and support senior staff on larger projects.
Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):
Project Management & Collaboration:
- Spearhead and contribute to diverse research projects, collaborating seamlessly with qualitative and other cross-functional teams.
- Deliver impactful research for a range of clients, including charities, NGOs, public sector organizations, and academic institutions, addressing critical societal challenges.
- Drive project success by effectively managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
Business Development & Client Engagement:
- Lead or contribute to compelling proposal writing and commercial activities, securing new projects and expanding the organization's impact.
- Cultivate strong client relationships by leading and participating in key client meetings, including project kick-offs and debriefs, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, translating complex research findings into actionable insights.
Research Delivery & Analysis:
- Produce high-quality, impactful deliverables, including comprehensive reports and presentations, tailored to client needs.
- Collaborate closely with advanced analytics teams, leveraging segmentations, experimental economics, conjoint analysis, and other techniques to deliver sophisticated insights.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations, driving informed decision-making for clients.
These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in quantitative research delivery, ideally within a research agency or a blend of agency and client-side environments.
- In-depth understanding of the public and charity sectors, with a proven ability to deliver impactful research within these domain.
- Strong commercial and research acumen, with the ability to translate client needs into actionable research strategies.
- Meticulous attention to detail and outstanding organisational skills, ensuring efficient project management and high-quality deliverables.
- Expertise in designing and executing complex quantitative research projects, delivering robust and reliable data-driven insights.
