Here’s a summary of the Graduate Research Executive role:

We have an excellent opportunity for the right person to learn the research ropes in YouGov’s Client Services team. The team continues to go from strength to strength working with a huge variety of clients on different innovate studies. 

We cover three areas of business in the Client Services team: 

  • Data services with our flagship omnibus products from domestic to international research studies 
  • Our insight teams consisting of: 
    • Reputation,  
    • Digital, Media, and Technology (DMT) 
    • Financial Services 
    • and Consumer 
  • Our Marketing sciences team that create intricate advanced analysis delving deeper into research 

Reporting to a skilled researcher, you will support and assist on different research projects, whilst learning the A-Z of research from questionnaire design to reporting. You will be involved in delivering a wide variety of research projects supporting senior members of staff in the delivery of projects from ad-hoc projects to tracking studies.

You will have exposure to a variety of people and tools to get the insight you need to deliver the outcome our clients require. We utilise our famous flagship products of Brand Index and Profiles to provide more insights to our clients giving them the edge. In our team, nothing is ever typical and all projects require a unique and innovative approach which you will be exposed to.

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):

Assisting and management of projects from inception to delivery and supporting the wider team. This will include but not limited to:

  • Learning the basics of research
  • Scripting and checking surveys: liaising with teams on client on expectations on anticipated outcome
  • Fieldwork management: monitor fieldwork for errors or unexpected abnormalities and correcting any problems to ensure the best possible outcome
  • Delivery of data including data input, analysis and where required attending debriefs with senior members of the team
  • Become acquainted with key subject issues in different sectors through monitoring of news, developments, information, journals, magazines, etc.
  • Involved in intricate analysis pieces with our marketing sciences team
