We are searching for a newly created Collections Analyst to join our growing Collections Team based in our Bucharest office!
The Collections Analyst is responsible for managing and executing the collections process, ensuring timely payments from customers, and maintaining accurate accounts receivable records. This role involves analysing customer payment trends, resolving disputes, and working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations. The Collections Analyst will also contribute to process improvements and provide regular reports to management.
Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):
- Collections Management: Proactively manage and collect payments on outstanding invoices, monitor account portfolios, and resolve disputes.
- Customer Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with customers to facilitate timely payments and address inquiries effectively.
- Withholding Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate calculation, documentation, and reporting of withholding taxes, collaborating with the tax department to maintain compliance.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse payment trends, prepare reports, and identify high-risk accounts to inform strategic decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the collections function.
- Compliance and Documentation: Adhere to company policies and legal regulations, maintaining accurate records for audit purposes.
These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a similar financial role.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP or accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) is desirable.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in German.
