Financial Accountant

We at CLEVR, a top Mendix and Siemens partner, are hiring a Financial Accountant with sound business acumen who will provide support across CLEVR’s various entities to help grow and scale the company.

Your opportunity

As CLEVR's Financial Accountant, you will handle a wide variety of tasks in the areas of financial accounting, including but not limited to reporting and controlling, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and payroll entries. With your vast experience and a mindset to serve the business, you will provide a broad spectrum of financial and accounting support. This will include implementing and maintaining internal controls, participating in budgeting and forecasting processes, and documenting and helping to improve and automate existing processes and systems.

You will use your analytical, people and organizational skills to work cohesively with others, participate in projects, interact with the professional services department on project set-up/administration, analyze project results, and overall address ad hoc questions.

Your role will include

Daily finance and accounting tasks, like purchase-to-pay, order-to-cash, and payroll. Being organized and ambitious, with a drive to consistently meet internal and external deadlines, you will be responsible for timely and accurate invoicing of services and subscription revenues, processing purchase requisitions/orders, preparing and executing AP payments, reimbursing expenses, preparing VAT returns and month-close procedures, credit control, maintaining account reconciliations and assisting in annual audits.

What you bring to the table

• Degree in Business Economics, Accounting, Business Management or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as an accountant at international companies, preferably in technology services, working on subscription revenues from recurring contracts and with GL responsibility for one or more legal entities.
• Solid all-around accountant and experienced with maintaining high-quality account reconciliations.
• Experience with the set-up, administration, maintaining contract registers and invoicing of service projects and subscription revenues.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting (IFRS) and tax rules and regulations.
• Systems-oriented and preferably experienced with implementing and improving ERP systems and ancillary applications (for purchasing, employee expense reimbursements, etc.)
• Experience with FinancialForce and Salesforce is a big plus.
• Experience with operating in a shared services center is a plus.
• Fluent in English, verbally and in writing. Other languages, like Dutch, German or Norwegian, are a plus.
