As a Technical Writer, you will be a key contributor to our team, responsible for planning and crafting clear, and compelling content for a variety of purposes. Your role will encompass the creation of client proposals, grant proposals, and engaging marketing content, including both long and short-form blog posts.
You’ll work closely with subject matter experts, marketing teams, and project managers to gather information and insights. This position is particularly well-suited for someone with a solid technical understanding, ideally someone with a background in engineering or a similar technical field, who can leverage their knowledge to bridge the gap between technical complexities and clear, accessible communication.
This position requires a versatile individual with a strong command of language, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable language for diverse audiences. Your understanding of technical subjects will be crucial in producing content that not only informs but also engages our target audiences, ensuring clarity without sacrificing depth or accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Client Proposals:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and insights for client proposals.
- Translate technical specifications into persuasive and client-focused proposal content.
- Ensure proposals align with client requirements and showcase the organization's capabilities effectively.
- Grant Proposals:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to research and understand grant opportunities relevant to the organization's objectives.
- Draft and edit comprehensive grant proposals, adhering to guidelines and requirements.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to convey technical aspects in a compelling manner.
- Marketing Content - Blog Posts:
- Contribute to content planning and strategy discussions, providing insights on effective communication approaches.
- Ensure content aligns with brand messaging and organizational goals.
- Develop long and short-form blog posts.
- Incorporate SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines.
- Content Editing and Proofreading:
- Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to incorporate feedback and refine content.
- Ensure all content meets high-quality standards and reflects the organization's professionalism and expertise.
Salary & benefits:
Salary and benefits will be negotiated separately based on the candidate’s skills and experience. Please note that we hire our international talent residing outside of Finland with contractor status, this means that you'd be invoicing us every month and paying your own social security contributions.
In terms of paid time off we treat all contractors like employees so you would get sick days, paid national holidays of the country of residence and 5 weeks of paid vacation per year (2.0833 accumulated vacation days per month worked).
