Your Role
As a Head of Global Air Freight Operations Process (f/m/d), you will establish globally standardized air freight processes that generate significant value for our key stakeholders through high efficiency and customer centricity. This role can be based in Frankfurt/Main, Hamburg, Berlin or remote.
You will
- Own, scale and continuously improve global air freight processes to enable a 30X growth in coming 3 years
- Collaborate closely with our Air Freight Product team on all features to improve our Air Freight processes to create a leading system landscape
- Be part of a cross-functional air freight task force to scale air freight to the second strategic product pillar
- Define and implement knowledge management and training programs for global air freight processes
- Closely work with Regional Process Owners to shape and implement a global standard process for air freight across all locations
- Be part of and closely collaborate with the global operations leadership team to shape the global operations strategy
- Closely collaborate with our technology team to drive digitalization and automation within air freight operations
What you bring
- Successful process expert with deep experience in air freight industry and a proven track record in shaping and scaling air freight processes at a global scale (>10 years experience in air freight operations and process management)
- Experience in developing, implementing and monitoring processes as well as applying continuous improvement methodology
- Strong data driven systems thinker with extensive conceptual and analytical skills to shape a process globally
- Proven track record in multiple markets (ideally in Europe and Asia) with deep understanding of market requirements and cultures
- Particular experience in digital air freight system development is a plus
- Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus
- Knowledge management and certification experience a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and willingness to travel nationally and internationally
- Fluent in English - German and Mandarin is a plus
