As a Specialist Neurodevelopment Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in our Neurodevelopment team providing high quality diagnostic assessments as well as in some areas, offering post-diagnostic support to help children, adults and their families understand their diagnosis.

 

What you need to have

  • A clinical qualification in Mental Health/Learning Disability Nursing, Psychology (Educational, Counselling, Clinical or Forensic) or Occupational Therapy
  • Registration with the relevant statutory body (NMC or HCPC)
  • Must have either Mental Health experience or ADHD diagnostic assessment experience
  • ADOS and/or ADIR trained and experienced
  • Experience of delivering structured assessments including diagnostic observations, consideration of third party evidence and completing a full diagnosis formulation.
  • An excellent understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions and presentations in children and young people, and adults; and the differential considerations.

  • A commitment to ethical practice and adherence to the highest standards of safeguarding of adults/children
