About the Role

As our Senior Communications Manager, you will be responsible for growing our global brand awareness and reputation, as both a leading spend management solution and an employer.

Responsibilities

  • Developing an external communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and
    tactics covering all external media channels such as print, broadcast, social media
    events etc.
  • Make significant contributions to our brand strategy and employer value proposition,
    supporting our Chief Marketing Officer and Chief People Officer
  • Ensure all Payhawk employees understand and amplify our brand strategy and employer
    value proposition externally
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to amplify product and corporate communication
    campaigns across all communications channels
  • Create and launch campaigns that increase the awareness and reputation of our brand
    and our employer value proposition
  • Author company announcements and create content for press releases, byline articles,
    keynote presentations and social media posts. Where necessary work with our Content
    team to ensure the content created is supportive of our brand strategy.
  • Manage and post on our social media accounts to grow followership and influence
  • Coordinate all public relations activities including media inquiries and interview requests
  • Manage, train and brief company spokespeople
  • Amplify our communications via employee advocacy and, where necessary work closely
    with senior leadership to build thought-leadership profiles (e.g. on LinkedIn)
  • Managing a network of global PR agencies to amplify reach and localise across all of our
    sales regions
  • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate
    recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
  • Evaluate and manage new opportunities for sponsorships and influencers
  • Working with our regional marketing teams to amplify local campaigns via media
    channels
  • Build and structure internal processes
  • Define, track and report on performance vs. KPIs

Requirements

  • Work from our Sofia office
  • Fluent in Bulgarian and English.
  • 5+ years of Communications / Public Relations experience ideally covering a global audience as well as Bulgaria.
  • Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level
  • Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets
  • Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Excellent communication skills and well practised at working with senior executives for media purposes.
  • Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • Event planning experience
  • BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline
