The Opportunity

Our mission is to change the way the world works by democratizing AI for every business, and to build a great company that everyone loves being a part of. These two goals haven’t changed since the days when Peak was little more than an idea forming in the heads of our founders Richard, Atul and Dave.

Peak is an AI company that provides the platform, application and services to help businesses harness the potential of AI to grow revenues, increase profits and efficiencies.

It’s an incredibly exciting time here at Peak. Off the back of our $75m Series C funding round in late 2021, led by SoftBank, we're scaling our offering, and putting AI in the hands of even more customers.

We have ambitious plans for the future and that means we're looking to welcome new people to our team. At Peak, culture and success come hand in hand – so creating and protecting a company culture that’s true to our values remains a fundamental aspect of our mission.

Your purpose at Peak

Based out of our Manchester Clubhouse, we are looking for a talented graphic designer to help create great visual assets, collateral and be a brand guardian.

This role is all about helping Peak amplify its messaging, telling visual stories, and bringing our brand and products to life. Helping to communicate unmistakably Peak messages in an exciting and engaging manner, across a whole host of outputs and different mediums.

As a graphic designer at Peak, you will not be limited in creating assets exclusively for the marketing team. You will be involved in conversations with all corners of the business. For this role, you’ll be looking at how our core visual branding needs to be best deployed to attract global customers - helping to support our marketing across the world. Everything you make will be highly visible, and widely used.

On a daily basis, you must always ask yourself - is it Peak? Is it great?

You will be encouraged to learn and grow as Peak does, in an internal environment that encourages progression, ownership and creativity.

What you’ll be responsible for

Peak produces a lot of content in various formats - from our website, slide decks, PDFs, sales materials, to printed books, banners through to branded merchandise, animations and OOH, this role will support the creation and execution of all of our visual branding.

To give you a sense of what will be involved, here’s a taste of what our team created in the last year:

  • Campaign assets for global marketing campaigns
  • Sales enablement collateral - brochures, whitepapers, presentations, diagrams
  • Print design for a bespoke coffee-table style book, including the creative assembly, selection of stocks, print finishes, artworking + organisation of the final print
  • Social media assets and templates
  • Animations and videos to promote our core-offerings
  • Continued work with our team of product designers as we build and refine our game-changing AI platform and application offering.
  • Continuous website updates and improvements
  • All of the collateral and promotion for a global event at Manchesters Depot Mayfield.
  • A wide spread of creative for events in the UK, US and India
  • Regular catch ups with external agencies to ensure consistency and quality in asset production

This year will be bigger than ever - bigger and bolder campaigns, with a global reach.

We would like someone excited to help build an impactful visual brand that stands out in a large technology market. In a sea of navy blue, stock-imagery led websites, you will help Peak look and feel completely unique, fresh, game-changing.

Primarily you will be responsible for the creation and upkeep of collateral for presentations, website, social media, technical illustrations and diagrams, product brochures, digital advertisements, animated assets for our website emails and more... This will also include working with the sales team and product marketing teams to ensure that Peak’s offering looks great from a visual point of view.

Your story and experience

We’re looking for someone with experience working as part of a team either in house or as part of an agency. You’ll have created assets for a variety of campaigns, working to answer briefs in the most creative and efficient way possible.

Although the majority of the work will be for a digital output, delving into animation and video where necessary, we do also create collateral for print, so any experience of artworking for print in CMYK and communicating with printers would be advantageous.

Here’s a summary of the kind of future graphic designer at Peak we’re looking for:

  • A track record of working on creative briefs and producing high quality work in a variety of formats, including animated assets.
  • Experience of working as part of a creative team, sharing feedback and work in progress, as well as collaborating on bigger projects.
  • You’ll have excellent verbal and written communication and be comfortable sharing and articulating ideas with others.
  • Someone able to thrive in a fast paced, agile environment. You will need to be comfortable with change, and uncertainty- we’re a tech scale up and things change pretty fast here!
  • A multi-tasker; you can juggle numerous things all at once, and be able to prioritise multiple tasks in the face of changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Have a degree in design, or relevant experience in a design based environment
  • Excellent creative and technical skills across the Adobe CC +
  • Being comfortable working in After Effects and Premier Pro is advantageous
  • Happy working with, and on, brand guidelines
  • You will be comfortable keeping track of your work in a project management software like Asana or Trello
  • Although you will be mainly working with digital assets, from time to time there is the need to create assets for print, so any knowledge around preparing artwork for print would be great
  • An interest in Big Data, AI, predictive analytics is key, since you’ll be completely immersed in this world. We don’t expect you to have a degree in data science, but you should be curious about technology innovation in this space.

Personal Skills

We’re an ambitious business with plans for global expansion, and we need teammates with the some particular values-driven qualities to help us make this happen:

  • Open - is happy to discuss ideas, contribute to others work, take on board feedback, work well in a tight-knit and supportive team and be comfortable with change, and sharing ideas (even if they are not perfect!) You should be comfortable sharing work, at whatever stage of the process, and be able to discuss and articulate ideas to other members of Peak in a confident manner.
  • Driven -  you’ll be motivated to help Peak succeed as a fast growing scale up technology company and work under their own initiative.
  • Curious -  always working to better understand our customers, their world, and how we can better help them (and communicate that well). Keen to develop your knowledge of different design approaches and different mediums - digital, print, animation, icons, fonts - you name it, we use it.
  • Smart - always willing to be able to talk through the creative thoughts process and explain the ‘why’ behind your design approaches. It’s not enough to make nice looking things, they must stem from our brand, our values and who we are.
  • Responsible -  happy to take true ownership over tasks given to them, and be able to effectively balance priorities and make decisions that best support the team. Taking charge on the creation and delivery of projects internally, and also being comfortable communicating with external suppliers on the delivery of campaign assets when needed.

In short, if you look at our website and are inspired, see possibilities for ways in which we can develop and create new and compelling visual assets and stories, then we want to hear from you.

Our team’s culture

Culture is as important to Peak as its business objectives. As well as living our company values, we have worked hard to create a team environment where

  • There’s ample opportunities to develop your professional skills, and we’ll support you to step out of your comfort zone and grow.
  • There is enormous variety in the work you do, so no two days will feel the same (please see the list above!)
  • You get out what you put into the work. It’s a fast paced environment, but not one where you are expected to sacrifice all your time with friends and family to do great.
  • We cultivate a truly collaborative environment, with a team that learns from each other and listens to each other's ideas. We understand that great ideas and creativity can come from everyone, and shouldn’t simply be mandated from the top.

If you want to work in a cutting-edge industry in a wide range of different mediums, owning and developing a brand and its visual identity in a company with a strong culture and set of values, then Peak might just be the place for you.

Diversity, Equity & inclusion

We’re here to change the way the world works and build an amazing company that everyone loves being part of. We know diverse perspectives and experiences result in better solutions, which is why we want all of our Peakers to bring their authentic selves to work.

We’ve been striving to build a diverse and inclusive team from the outset. It’s a continuous journey, and there’s more we can do – but we’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, which is ahead of the tech industry standard.

We’ve set targets in relation to gender and ethnicity, for now, but we know there’s more to diversity than just these two areas. We’re passionate about creating an inclusive environment for those of all ages, religions, sexual orientations, socio-economic status and for those with disabilities.

We are proud to be a Disability Confident Committed employer – a UK Government certification for organizations actively taking steps to attract, recruit and retain persons with disabilities. If you need any reasonable adjustments as part of the recruitment process, please let us know.
