Who we are 

The metaverse is not a single app. It's a network of millions of virtual worlds people visit to play games, socialize and collaborate. Today, most of those worlds are closed and disconnected walled gardens. Ready Player Me is a cross-game avatar platform for the builders, creators and residents of the metaverse. We're on a mission to break down the virtual walls to build a more open and connected metaverse.

For developers, we offer a plug-and-play avatar system they can integrate into their games and virtual worlds in days. For metaverse residents, we're a portable virtual identity they can use across thousands of virtual worlds.

We started 2021 with 24 companies using our avatar system, by now it's more than 3000. We've created avatars for more than 5 million people since launching Ready Player Me.

Our team has built avatar systems for companies like Tencent, Huawei, HTC, and Verizon since 2014. We are working with well-known brands like Warner Bros, Dior, New Balance, and RTFKT. We’re adding partner brands all the time!

About you: 

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Account Executive to join our growing team! You will be responsible for growing the Ready Player Me developer network by partnering with mid-market companies from the gaming and entertainment industry. You will own the full sales cycle from building relationships with key stakeholders to negotiation and contracting. You will drive the day-to-day execution to exceed the business performance targets.

Your daily adventures will include:

  • Creating your own pipeline via market research and using established channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) to perform targeted outreach to generate new business. 
  • Experimenting with new ways and customer profiles to accelerate the growth. 
  • Building positive relationships with the stakeholders by identifying the problems they are facing, and helping the customer solve their problems by providing a solution that utilizes Ready Player Me technology. 
  • Negotiating and navigating discussions between multiple stakeholders and signing partnerships.
  • Collaborating with different teams to analyze trends to identify markets for future product development or to improve sales of existing products. 


What you bring:

  • 3-5 years of experience in full cycle B2B sales.
  • Analytical thinking and challenging the status quo.
  • Genuine interest in gaming, web3, and virtual worlds.
  • Startup/Scale-up experience.
  • Experience selling technical products - especially experience selling to developers. You understand customers’ perspective and you are driven by providing a better experience. 
  • Good presentation skills - ability to establish credibility with executives and explain complicated ideas in a concise and simple way.
  • Experience with negotiating and navigating between multiple stakeholders (product managers, CTOs, CEOs etc).

As a bonus, it would be awesome if you:

  • Have experience with selling middleware in the gaming industry.
  • Love to play games.
