Enterprise Solutions Lead Role Overview:

You'll report to: Lloyd Peters Head of Revenue UK & EMEA

Location: While Send is a remote-first company, this role will require a significant portion of face-to-face time in London with our clients and prospects in the London Insurance Market. We've listed this role as hybrid to be transparent about this and the successful candidate can expect to be in our London office (Monument) between 2-3 days per week on average.

Salary Range: £100,000 - £160,000, made up of a base salary of £100,000 – 120,000, plus ‘on target’ bonus of £40k

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Enterprise Solutions Lead Role

As we continue our mission to be the market-leading underwriting software platform for commercial and specialty insurers, we are excited to kick off the search for a Enterprise Solutions Lead.

As the Enterprise Solutions Lead, you will play a key role in the growth of Send by acting as our mouthpiece to prospective and current clients on how their business can operate and improve using our solution.

Our customers have complex operations, challenging application landscapes and write various types of (re)insurance; the Enterprise Solutions Lead will be responsible for helping understand these complexities and shape how Send will work for our clients, shaping a functional roadmap that de-risks delivery and maximises their ROI.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, business analysis, product management and customer success, to ensure that our solutions meet the unique needs and requirements of our clients in the insurance industry.

Our Funding

From 2017 to 2022, we bootstrapped our growth journey, transforming into a profitable and stable company. In November 2022, after a year of remarkable expansion in our revenue and team, we successfully obtained £9M in Series A funding to accelerate our expansion in the UK and US and our product development.

Over the past 18 months, Send has experienced remarkable team growth, expanding by over 50% to a team of 80+. At the beginning of 2023, our team was based in the UK and Poland. We’ve taken significant strides towards establishing a global presence and now have team members across the US and India, all working collaboratively to be the market-leading underwriting software platform for agile insurers.

 

What You’ll Be Doing as an Enterprise Solutions Lead 

Solution Discovery – primary role

  • Work with prospective clients during our sales process to understand their business objectives, processes, and requirements either through formal RFP processes or paid ‘Discovery’ phases
  • Identify the right combination of Send’s solution offering to meet our clients’ needs
  • Help shape and communicate Send’s vision for the future of underwriting to senior client stakeholders as enabled by Send’s current product and product roadmap
  • Support clients in designing their target state business architecture and capabilities with Send Workbench at the heart of their UW operations – i.e. how does Send fit and interact with broader business capabilities.
  • Work with our business analysis teams to identify Send’s product fit to the customer requirements and the level of configuration, integration required
  • Identify and articulate the benefits of using Send across both top line growth and cost savings
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance and recommendations on how to maximise the value and ROI of Send’s solutions and alternatives to current business practice
  • Attend industry / market events on behalf of Send to communicate our solution offering and understand the latest market trends and solutions

Delivery Oversight

  • Work with the delivery team (delivery managers and BAs) to ensure the solution scope and vision is accurately reflected in our project product backlog and the solution vision is clearly understood
  • Provide input on business practice and priorities to delivery roadmap sequencing
  • Provide product SME support and steer into client delivery teams and SI partners to address any product queries, and to ensure partners are implementing the product in the right way
  • Provide SME oversight and escalation for delivery team during design and UAT to ensure we’re delivering what we set out to / committed to clients

Product Innovation and Enhancement

  • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to provide input and feedback on product roadmap priorities, feature enhancements, and new product development initiatives.
  • Stay current on industry trends, market demands, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
  • Advocate for client needs and requirements in the development process, ensuring that our solutions remain relevant and competitive in the market.

 

The Skills and Experience needed for the Enterprise Solutions Lead Role

  • 10+ years of experience in leading technology enabled business transformations in the insurance industry, preferable with strong knowledge of commercial / speciality insurance.
  • Strong understanding of insurance industry processes, products, and regulations, with experience working with insurance carriers, brokers, or agencies.
  • Ability to both understand executive level business concerns as well as granular business requirements – and be able to shape a solution that connects these seamlessly
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering product definition, business architecture or functional requirements for software implementation projects, in a SaaS environment.
  • Ability to identify and communicate alternative solutions to challenges; understanding when to challenge established practices and when to adapt to them.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience with agile project management methodologies and tools is a plus.

Enterprise Solutions Lead Interview Process

Our recruitment process for the Enterprise Solutions Lead role will consist of an intro call and 3 formal interview stages:

Intro call with our in-house recruiter, Liam (30 minutes) - This will cover your background, motivations and communication, along with a chance to get to know Send and the role better.

Stage 1 – Interview with Lloyd Peters, Head of Revenue – UK (45 minutes)

Stage 2 – Interview with Natasha Bond, Chief Delivery Officer (45 minutes)

Stage 3 – Interview with Andy Moss, CEO (45 minutes)
