ABOUT THE ROLE:

The role is an exciting one, straddling both sourcing and project management. 

As our NPD Sourcing & Projects Assistant, you'll be at the forefront of NPD sourcing activities for our core salon supply products. Your primary focus will be on researching and identifying potential new suppliers, coordinating technical testing with our salon training team and seamlessly project managing development of these from brief kick-off to stock in warehouse. 
 
Key responsibilities include collaborating closely with our Supply Chain Director to align on procurement needs and cost targets and working alongside our NPD Head to agree project timelines, specifications and any technical testing, artwork/design input required to optimise the product range.

Key responsibilities  

• Salon supply procurement : As you grow with the business, constantly review our Townhouse ancillary products , developing innovative new proposals and proposing new strategic options for cost reduction or product improvement. You’ll develop an extensive knowledge of the current assortment and identify any gaps to ensure we offer best practice vs competitor service providers  

• Performance Testing : You’ll work with our NPD Manager to identify testing needs for all product sourced, and will coordinate this process to put samples through their paces by working with our salon testing team to take a product through to sign off stage 

• Project Manager for the Product Team : Work with manufacturing and packaging partners as required to ensure adherence to project timelines, showing an ability to think laterally and creatively , proactively bringing solutions to the table then things veer off track. 

• Product specification & seal development : Taking each item from initial brief though the sealing process and completing specification documents to accompany each purchase order 
  
  
• Packaging Design & Artwork : Under the guidance of the NPD Head, work with internal teams or graphic designer on any branding requirements for salon product 
  
  

ABOUT YOU:

We welcome candidates who are proactive, motivated and passionate about driving change. Highly organised and able to multi-task and work under pressure, you take a collaborative approach and are skilled in negotiation and have great communication skills. 

• Strong project management 

• Able to identify opportunities for improvement and driving them forward 

• Clear rationale to decision making and a reasoned approach in recommending strategic action and when to escalate 

• Confident and collaborative approach in building good working relationships with suppliers

• Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively between tasks 

• Strong knowledge of Excel – experience with Procurify is a bonus
• Some experience of working within a Product Development or product-driven business

LOCATION:   

Our office is based in Central London and we offer a hybrid working model, based on the requirements of the role.
