About this opportunity

If you are a self-starter and skilled Microsoft Azure System Administrator or IT operations engineer ready to take on a dynamic role in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for delivering exceptional results, we'd love to hear from you. We're seeking a dedicated individual to join our IT team, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our office IT infrastructure while ensuring seamless integration with various company departments' tools and systems. Join us in shaping our technology landscape and making a significant impact on our business.

About your responsibilities 

  • Azure Cloud Management: Drive the creation of Chemaxon’s Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness. Implement best practices for resource provisioning, monitoring, and optimization.
  • Azure Active Directory (Azure AD): Administer Azure AD, including user management, group policies, single sign-on, and conditional access to ensure secure and efficient access to resources.
  • Dynamics 365 Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and manage Dynamics 365 applications (Business Central), ensuring smooth operation and alignment with business needs.
  • Linux Server Administration: Manage Linux servers, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Network Design and Security: Design and maintain network infrastructure, including firewall and VPN configurations to ensure data security and efficient communication.
  • Identity Provider (IDP) Management: Oversee identity and access management using Azure AD and other IDP solutions. Implement and maintain secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Departmental Tooling Integration: Work closely with different company departments to understand their tooling needs and integrate their systems with existing resources. Ensure optimal performance and data flow between tools.
  • Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain scripts for automating routine tasks, configuration management, and deployment processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual interventions.
  • Version Control: Utilize version control systems to manage configuration files, scripts, and infrastructure-as-code artifacts, ensuring a consistent and auditable approach to changes.
  • Business Architecture Alignment: Collaborate with other Foundation teams to align IT solutions with the company's strategic goals, ensuring technology supports and enhances overall business objectives.
  • Mentoring Junior Administrators: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior administrators, fostering their professional growth and helping them develop advanced technical skills.
  • Office IT Equipment: Oversee office IT equipment, ensuring proper setup, maintenance, and user support.

Experience, skills and knowledge you should bring to us

  • Hands-on Linux server administration experience (1+ years).
  • Hands-on experience (1+ years) as a Microsoft Azure System Administrator.
  • Network design and security expertise, including firewall and VPN management.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, Azure AD, and Dynamics 365 administration.
  • Familiarity with Identity Provider solutions.
  • Strong understanding of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.) for automation.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git, etc.).
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities for working with cross-functional teams.

Bonus skills that will help you hit the ground running

  • Certifications (Azure, Linux, AWS) are a plus.
