About the role

Meptik is looking for an experienced Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our expanding team. 

The BDR  is responsible for all Lead Generation: identifying and pursuing new business opportunities,  within target industry accounts in North America. This role involves proactive outreach, engaging potential clients, and converting leads into qualified sales opportunities. The ideal candidate is a persuasive communicator, self-motivated, and passionate about contributing to the company's growth.

What you’ll do

  • Lead Generation: Identify potential leads through various channels, including online research, social media, industry events, and networking
  • Outbound Prospecting: Conduct outbound calls, emails, and other forms of communication to engage with potential clients and introduce our products/services
  • Qualify Leads: Assess and qualify leads based on predefined criteria to ensure they align with the company's target market and sales strategy
  • Pass on qualified sales opportunities to the Sales Manager and global sales team members  to continue the sales process to close
  • Assist the Sales Manager with sales documentation and client  presentations
  • Hit target KPI for prospect engagement/lead generation
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using Salesforce
  • Gain a clear understanding of client needs and desired outcomes
  • Provide clients clarity on how Meptik’s offerings can help potential clients and why they should choose to partner with Meptik
  • Deliver regular status updates to internal teams
  • Desire to attend Industry Sales Events (2-5 p/year) and the Annual International Sales Kick-off Event (usually in LA)
  • Opportunity to move into Account Management / Sales Representative role in the future


  • 3+ years of successful sales experience in a Lead Generation capacity
  • Experience in either technical services sales or sales within a start-up/scale-up environment 
  • Experience as an individual sales contributor as well as working with a wider Sales team to pass on sales opportunities to close
  • Experience building lasting relationships with clients and internal inter-department stakeholders
  • Experience building relevant sales reports and BD strategies
  • Experience is preferable or an understanding of the industry (Production, Broadcast, Live Events, Film Studio)
