About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of our technology roadmap and customer shows from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will manage a team, demonstrating an energetic and inspiring leadership style. The role requires a resilient individual capable of managing priorities and navigating through ambiguity to ensure successful project outcomes. The Senior Project Manager reports to the Director of Programmes and works in partnership with the software, product, QA and hardware teams. The Snr Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring end to end delivery of the Disguise holistic technology roadmap and key customer focused projects, ensuring all projects meet the high quality standards expected. 

Managing a small team, the postholder will maintain a holistic view of roadmap projects and delivery, ensuring data from the tools such as JIRA and Resource Management are accurate and providing weekly status reporting. They must be adaptable and resilient and be able to manage their workload and be comfortable with changing priorities.

The successful candidate will be a confident self-starter with excellent communication skills and proven prior experience of cross functional collaboration and end to end delivery. They will need to be confident in working with multiple teams, external clients, creating and enforcing processes and raising issues to the Director of Programmes. The Senior Project Manager will work with global teams and so some flexibility to work across time zones is required.

 What you will do:

  • Project Leadership and Delivery:
    • Take active control and management of multiple software projects
    • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technology roadmap projects, product releases, new features and customer show, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Develop detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project integration and delivery, internally and externally.
    • Manage project risks, issues, and changes proactively.
    • Work to and enforce correct Agile project procedures
    • Utilise project management tools and techniques to monitor progress and performance.
  • Resource Forecasting
    • Lead, forecast and manage technical delivery resources
  • Team Management:
    • Manage and mentor a team of three engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
    • Provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and conduct regular performance reviews.
    • Encourage professional development and continuous learning within the team.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in technology project management.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Foster a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging creative solutions to project challenges.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
    • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address concerns.
    • Ensure stakeholder satisfaction through effective project delivery and communication.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
    • Prepare and present project reports and dashboards to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, risk logs, and post-project reviews. 

About you:

Essential Skills

  • 7+ years of proven hands on ability of cross functional delivery of multiple software products concurrently, on time and to a high quality, with at least 3 years in a senior role
  • Ability to understand complex technical delivery, preferably in video production
  • Self starter with a ‘can do’ attitude, positive energy and growth mindset
  • First class communication, collaboration, analytical, problem solving abilities
  • Excellent delivery management and leadership attributes to include:
    • Planning
    • Risk & issue management
    • Task scheduling/Sprint Planning
    • Resource management  
    • Reporting
    • Change control
    • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and ability to work within a project management framework
    • Proficiency with project management tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience in the creative technology sector, particularly in delivering customer-focused solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
