We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Liquidity and Market Risk Analyst Intern to join the Risk department, reporting to the Liquidity Risk Manager.

In this role, you will focus on developing advanced liquidity and market risk indicators and analyzing liquidity risk at the trade level as well at the macro and portfolio level. You will also contribute to the production of regular risk reports, document processes and procedures, and assist in the follow-up and execution of various risk management projects. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in risk management, and liquidity analysis.

  • Duration: 6 months
  • Starting Date: January 2025

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be involved in a broad range of topics from liquidity projections to portfolio reviews, risk measurement and mitigation, and collateral management.
  • Assist in the design and development of liquidity risk indicators; conduct in-depth analysis of trade-level liquidity risk, including the impact of the trade on the portfolio and projections.
  • Provide follow-up analysis for key risk projects and support cross-functional projects by collaborating with the Treasury, Data, Sales, and Product teams.
  • Contribute to the automation of reporting and analysis processes and support the team in documenting processes and methodologies used.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Pursuing a degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid foundation in finance; rigor and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to perform advanced calculations, create reports, and manage large datasets.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, SQL, VBA, DAX for data analysis and model development.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear and concise reports and present complex data in an understandable way.
