About the Role

As a Mid-Market Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth within our mid-sized customer segment (200 to 1000). You will play a critical role in identifying and developing new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with key decision-makers, and closing complex sales deals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the tech industry, experience navigating competitive landscapes, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets within the mid-market segment, focusing on the tech industry.
  • Identify and engage with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, finance teams, and IT professionals, to understand their expense management needs and present our solution as a valuable business solution.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential prospects and build a robust pipeline of qualified leads.
  • Utilize consultative selling techniques to understand customer pain points, address objections, and effectively communicate the value proposition of our expense management solution.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, solution demonstration, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales operations, customer success, and product management, to ensure smooth onboarding and implementation of new customers.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive offerings, and market dynamics to position our solution effectively against competitors.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular pipeline updates to sales management.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in a B2B sales role, specifically within the mid-market segment of the tech industry.
  • Experience selling complex solutions with multiple stakeholders involved.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a demonstrated ability to navigate competitive landscapes and differentiate our solution.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, with a focus on long-term account growth.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools to manage and track sales activities.
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings and industry events as required.
