Responsibilities:

  • Greenfield development of significant new features to a high-quality code base
  • Taking requirements from management, sales, quants and traders, and following full software cycle: analysing, implementing, testing, releasing and supporting
  • To work primarily on Woorton’s requirements to enhance the B2C2 group technology offering, including on OTC, hedging, risk, and latency optimisations and in time the entire trading technology stack
  • Working in close collaboration with a number of development teams based in London and Europe, consisting of total around 30 highly experienced developers and quantitative developers

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years commercial experience in Java development of front office trading systems
  • Clean and efficient coding style
  • Self-starter, confident and driven
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of the team
  • Eager to learn, attention to detail
  • Experienced in a selection of low GC techniques in Java
  • Knowledgeable in electronic market making, algo trading, low latency / high frequency trading, market data, order management and routing, with crypto / FX / derivatives trading a key benefit
  • Experience in messaging and middleware infrastructure including at least some of: UDP, FIX, REST, Websockets, Redis, Kafka
  • Knowledge of Python and AWS infrastructure, also a benefit
  • Fluency in French and English
