Job Description:
As a Regional Director, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening our party’s presence and influence across your region. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the establishment and growth of constituency branches within the region, ensuring they are well-organised, effective, and aligned with the party's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Branch Formation and Development:
-Lead the formation of new constituency branches within the region, ensuring they are set up in accordance with party guidelines and local needs.
-Provide ongoing support to existing branches, fostering growth, and
enhancing their organisational capacity.
-Facilitate training and development for branch officers and volunteers,
equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed.
Campaign Management:
-Develop and implement regional campaign strategies that align with the party’s national priorities.
-Support branches in the planning and execution of local campaigns,
ensuring consistency in messaging and tactics.
-Monitor and evaluate campaign performance, providing feedback and guidance to improve effectiveness.
Volunteer Coordination:
-Recruit, train, and manage volunteers across the region, building a strong network of grassroots activists.
-Coordinate regional events, canvassing sessions, and outreach activities to engage and mobilise supporters.
Ensure volunteer activities are well-organised and contribute to the overall success of the party’s goals.
Stakeholder Engagement:
-Act as the main point of contact between the party’s national leadership and the regional branches.
Build and maintain relationships with key local stakeholders.
-Represent the party at regional events, meetings, and media
opportunities as required.
Best Practice Leadership:
-Lead on the development and dissemination of best practice guidelines for campaigning, volunteer management, and branch operations.
-Share insights and successes from the region with other Regional Directors and national teams to contribute to overall party strategy.
Administrative Duties:
o Maintain accurate records of regional activities, including branch developments, campaign progress, and volunteer engagement.
o Prepare regular reports for the national leadership on regional
performance and challenges.
o Manage regional budgets effectively, ensuring resources are allocated
efficiently to maximise impact.
Qualifications and Skills:
Essential:
o Proven experience in political organising, campaigning, or a related field.
o Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate volunteers and branch members.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
o Strategic thinker with a track record of successful campaign management.
o Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
o Knowledge of the UK political landscape and a commitment to the party’s values and objectives.
Desirable:
o Experience in grassroots organising or community engagement.
o Familiarity with digital campaigning tools and techniques.
o Understanding of regional political dynamics and key issues.
