We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our exciting, fast-growing company. If you want to work at the cutting edge of technology for a global leader, and are willing to rise to a challenge, we’d love to hear from you. As a member of the Finance department, you will be joining a dynamic and talented team, dedicated to supporting the business in a rapidly expanding world-class company. You will interact with people across the business and have multiple priorities at one time, so you will need to be a good communicator and have superb time management skills, excellent attention to detail and self-motivation.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing incoming purchases invoices, reconciling supplier statements, coding and checking company details; purchase authorisation and contract information
  • Allocation of credit cards payments and reconciliation of monthly statement
  • Key supplier liaison and relationship maintenance, dealing with queries
  • Ensuring invoices are authorised in line with the company budget authorisation processes and data is input to finance system with correct currency, VAT, company location information
  • Preparing weekly suggested payment and liaising with Team Lead on cash requirements (UK and International currency), matching supplier payments including credit card and reconciling supplier accounts

Other:

  • Other finance month end routines (may include items such as accruals, prepayments and other journals)
  • Working to support annual audit information preparation
  • Recording and reconcile inter-company transactions
  • Reviewing deposits and contract prepayments
  • Inputting capital expenditure items to Fixed Asset register
  • Review and maintenance of the supplier accounts on the ERP system.
  • Future project work as required

Candidate requirements:

  • Numerate with strong attention to detail as key ‘gateway’ role in terms of quality of expense data in the accounting systems (Essential)
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to work unsupervised and prioritise tasks (Essential)
  • Helpful, flexible, pro-active approach to work, a team player with a willingness to tackle both new and routine tasks (Essential)
  • Enthusiastic, reliable and self-confident, with an excellent telephone manner (Essential)
  • Dynamic, responsible and highly organised with the ability to manage multiple streams of work within defined timelines (Essential)
  • Confident in addressing and escalating matters with colleagues in order to resolve underlying issues (Essential)
  • Effective communication skills with finance and non-finance staff, collaborative nature and proactive team player (Essential)
  • Flexible working to accommodate key monthly deadlines at peak times (Essential)
