Overview:

A Settlement & Clearing Associate is responsible for accurately inputting and maintaining various types of information into databases. This role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to work with a high level of accuracy. It serves as a foundational role for individuals looking to gain experience in administrative and data management tasks. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Data Entry: Input and update data from source documents into computer systems, spreadsheets, or databases accurately and efficiently.
  • Transaction Processing: Process and verify trade information, ensuring accuracy and completeness of details such as trade date, settlement date, quantity, and price.
  • File Management: Organize and maintain electronic and paper files, ensuring information is easily accessible and properly categorized.
  • Document Review: Check documents for completeness and accuracy before data entry, requesting additional information if necessary.
  • Quality Control: Perform regular quality checks on entered data to maintain a high level of accuracy and integrity.
  • Timeliness: Meet established deadlines for data entry tasks and contribute to maintaining efficient workflow.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding data-related issues, questions, or clarifications and ensure timely settlement.
  • Learning and Growth: Take initiative to learn and improve data entry skills, software proficiency, and industry-specific knowledge. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Finance or Business Major preferred. 
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills especially Excel (Formulas).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate across department and across geographic site locations.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of data privacy and confidentiality.
