We’re seeking a punctilious Tech Support Engineer to join our Presto team. This is a client-facing role that stands at a delicate intersection of technical proficiency and exceptional communication. As the Tech Support Engineer, you will be a crucial mediator between our customers and internal engineering teams, ensuring seamless troubleshooting and solution delivery.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide diligent support service to our customers, assuring technical issues are promptly addressed and solutions delivered in a seamless manner.
- Learn and understand the microservice architecture of our product, all aspects of its functionalities and features, as well as the technical context of different customer use cases.
- Organize and manage scheduling and on-call rotation framework, ensuring optimized internal ticketing system bandwidth and client access to support.
- Utilize root cause analysis and other data to provide comprehensive reports and recommend sustainable action plans to improve overall customer support processes.
- Contribute to product knowledge database and customer set-up guidelines in close cross-team collaboration.
Requirements and needed skills:
Technical skills:
- Mandatory understanding of blockchain technology fundamentals; familiarity with zero-knowledge and optimistic roll-up technology stacks would be a significant plus
- Extensive knowledge of Linux and proficiency with command-line tools
- Demonstrated ability to compose and execute API calls using tools like Postman, Curl, etc.
- Fundamental understanding of the SQL query tools and frameworks; ability to compose and execute basic queries
- Experience using monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus
- Fundamental networking knowledge; familiarity with containerized microservice application architectures
Client-facing requirements:
- Preferred ability to work within the CET time zone, or be available for at least 5 hours between 9:00-18:00h CET
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a seemless and engaging manner
- Passion for learning (quickly and proactively) and empathetic work with people on a day-to-day basis
Nice to have:
- Experience working in similar roles, especially in a Web3 environment
- Experience with and/or knowledge of scripting and programming
- Fundamental understanding of cybersecurity principles
- Experience working in fast-paced, remote-first startup environments
