As a Site Reliability Engineer at IMC, you'll be an integral member of a highly experienced team, responsible for maintaining a robust, best in class, low latency trading environment.

The skills necessary to excel could range from system administration, network troubleshooting, database optimization, software development, release management and performance engineering. This role provides daily challenges as no day is the same as the next. You will collaborate closely with systems, performance and network engineers, as well as traders and software developers across our organization.

Your Core Responsibilities: 

  • Translate trading requests into concrete technical requirements – work with various focus teams in our organization toward generating innovative & scalable solutions

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of our trading systems, guaranteeing continuity and stability in our production trading environment

  • Co-ordinate, prioritize, and plan changes to our trading software, facilitating quick time-to-market for new features and software updates

  • Develop automation tools to streamline operational processes, reducing overhead and enhancing efficiency

  • Contribute to the enhancement of trading strategies and trading infrastructure

  • Facilitate essential core market connectivity and collaborate with exchanges on troubleshooting technical issues

Your Skills and Experience: 

  • Self-driven, passionate about engineering and possess a natural sense of curiosity

  • Team player with strong communication skills

  • In-depth knowledge and experience with Linux operating systems

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker

  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, UDP, and related protocols

  • Strong programming experience in Python and shell scripting

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, or Technology

  • Prior experience in deploying, running, and supporting high-performance applications, as well as process monitoring and troubleshooting production-critical systems

  • Prior experience with Puppet, Prometheus and Grafana is a plus but not required
