The Operational Risk Manager at IMC is responsible for managing the operational risk framework, conducting incident management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. They collaborate with global teams, improve data analytics and dashboard tools, and oversee risk control processes. The role requires experience in risk management, strong problem-solving skills, and knowledge of financial markets and regulations.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Support the Operational Incident management process by building productive relationships with stakeholders, conducting post-mortems, and strengthening actionable reporting on trends and insights.
- Manage the Key Control Framework process, ensuring effective testing and continuous evaluation of controls.
- Keep up with and guide the latest regulatory requirements on operational risk management.
- Improve and document our Operational Risk Framework by enhancing its effectiveness while maintaining simplicity and actionability.
- Work closely with Enterprise Risk management and Operational Risk Managers globally to ensure global alignment and collaboration.
- Build dashboard tooling and improve data analytic capabilities for the team.
- Manage, automate, and suggest improvements to internal and external execution risk framework.
- Maintain and improve access management framework to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient user access across the organization.
- Perform the Risk Control Self-Assessments by analyzing the potential impact and likelihood of risk events in close collaboration with all departments.
Your Skills and Experience:
- 3 - 7 years of relevant work experience in operational or enterprise risk management, ideally in the finance industry
- Solid understanding of operational risk frameworks and internal operational controls
- Knowledge and experience in financial market regulations for operational risk management or enterprise risk management.
- A genuine interest in financial markets, risk, trading, and technology
- An academic background in a relevant field (such as Economics, Finance, or STEM).
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Ability to communicate complex information and ideas to key business stakeholders
- Self-starter, proactive attitude, and an out-of-the-box thinker
