Main responsabilities:

    1. SAP HANA System Administration:
    • Install, configure, and maintain SAP HANA environments, including monitoring and tuning system performance.
    • Perform system upgrades, patches, and updates to ensure system integrity and performance optimization.
    • Manage user roles, authorizations, and security settings within SAP HANA.
    1. System Migrations and Upgrades:
    • Lead and execute SAP HANA migrations (e.g., from traditional databases to HANA) or upgrades, including BW on HANA, Suite on HANA, and S/4HANA migrations.
    • Provide technical support during data center migrations or cloud platform integrations (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
    1. Performance Tuning:
    • Analyze and improve the performance of the HANA system by identifying bottlenecks and optimizing memory, CPU, and disk usage.
    • Use tools like SAP EarlyWatch, DBA Cockpit, and other monitoring utilities to ensure optimal performance.
    1. SAP Basis Administration:
    • Oversee SAP Basis functions such as system monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance for both HANA and non-HANA systems.
    • Implement and manage transport management systems (TMS), system refreshes, and data replication techniques (SLT, SDI).
    1. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
    • Work closely with application developers, functional teams, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP HANA with business processes.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in SAP HANA for clients, providing guidance on best practices and system improvements.
    1. Documentation and Compliance:
    • Ensure that all system changes and configurations are properly documented.
    • Adhere to and enforce security policies and compliance standards like GDPR or SOX.

     

Requirements: 

    1. Technical Skills:
    • SAP HANA administration and optimization.
    • SAP Basis administration.
    • Expertise in SAP S4/HANA migrations and installations.
    • Proficient in Linux OS administration (as SAP HANA typically runs on Linux).
    • Deep understanding of SAP architecture and components (NetWeaver, ABAP, Java).
    • Hands-on experience with high availability, backup/recovery, disaster recovery.
    1. Tools and Technologies:
    • HANA Studio, SAP Solution Manager, DBA Cockpit, SAP EarlyWatch.
    • Operating systems: Linux (SUSE, Red Hat).
    • Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP (for cloud HANA deployments).
    • SAP Fiori and S/4HANA system administration.
