About the Team and the Role

This is a unique opportunity for someone passionate about solving problems and providing recommendations to advance a career within data analytics. Over the past six years, the Customer Analytics team has established itself as an independent source of truth and strategic advice for the whole business. 

The successful analyst will be eager to deepen their skills and confident enough to shape the narrative. You will work closely with the newsletter team, whose job it is to write, edit and optimise our roster of over 30 newsletters, as well as the B2B department who work with our corporate clients. This will involve taking data from multiple sources and combining it with acute business knowledge to shape the findings. You will be transforming insights into easy to understand data visualisations, presentations and recommendations to the end stakeholders. Excellent communication skills are essential.

About You

  • Exposure to working with a wide variety of data sets 

  • Thorough, inquisitive, innovative, ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking

  • Presentation and communication skills - particularly strong in presenting complex data and analytical findings to non-technical audiences 

  • Have a passion for data visualisation & familiarity with techniques (could range from basic to advanced)

  • A commercially minded individual - ability to understand the commercial imperatives behind the data needs

  • Experience as an effective business partner to internal stakeholders

  • Have a passion for digital business, mobile, and emerging technologies

  • University degree attainment in a numeric discipline or demonstrated relevant work experience

  • Self-motivated, with the ability to manage and follow up on multiple tasks simultaneously

How we work

We offer a strict 35 hour working week to all staff in our London office. Our hybrid setup means staff are expected to come into the office 2 days a week on average. We operate flexibly and thus this 2 day a week figure should be taken as a general ratio of the time you will spend in the office.

Our office is located across the street from St. Paul's Cathedral and is easily accessible from all corners of London. There are the main train terminals such as Liverpool Street, Moorgate, Blackfriars, City Thameslink or Waterloo all situated within walking distance or there are several tube stations within a few mins walk such as Mansion House (District or Circle line), St. Paul's (Central line), Bank (Central or Waterloo & City line) or Barbican (Central, Hammersmith & City or Metropolitan lines).
