IT Support Agent - Internship

Jumia, Africa's leading e-commerce platform, is seeking enthusiastic and tech-savvy interns to join our IT Support team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in providing technical support within a dynamic e-commerce environment.

What you will be doing

  • Provide first-level technical support to Jumia employees and departments
  • Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Help maintain and update IT inventory and asset management systems
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of IT documentation and user guides
  • Assist in setting up and configuring workstations and mobile devices
  • Support the implementation of IT security best practices
  • Help monitor and maintain network performance and connectivity
  • Assist in user account management and access control
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives as assigned
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues
  • Assist in providing support for Jumia's e-commerce platforms and internal tools
  • Help in organizing and conducting basic IT training sessions for employees.

What we are looking for

  • Fresh graduates or currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts
  • Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Basic understanding of e-commerce platforms and operations (preferred)
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management principles (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • English proficiency.
