Responsabilities :

  • Responsible for all grocery operations in the market.
  • Managing the assortment of our dark stores to cover 1.5K+ products (from ecom to dark stores).
  • Negotiating with suppliers to ensure Jumia pricing is always competitive.
  • Ensuring 100% availability for ecommerce and dark stores by managing daily replenishment of our main warehouses and dark stores.
  • Ensuring AAA customer experiences.
  • Coordinating with marketing to enhance visibility on our different value propositions.
  • Creating and maintaining the ecosystem of tools, processes.
  • Launching Brand to Store with the key grocery brands.

Job requirements :

  • Min 6+ years of experience across managing commercial teams or large projects, business management experience in operations, strategy, technology, business development, running your own business. 
  • Effective project management - experience delivering on a multifaceted project with many stakeholders.
  • Strong entrepreneurial and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong management & leadership skills. 
  • Strong negotiation and networking skills.
  • Strong leadership and ability to work across functions of the business. 
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities and partnerships to grow the top line of the business. 
  • Impeccable communication skills.
  • Ability to negotiate in flawless English
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Capacity to challenge and improve processes.
  • Ability to adapt with humility and resilience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and competitive environment.
  • Advanced degree preferred but not required. Additional languages is a bonus.
