At Spread Group headquarters in Leipzig, we are currently seeking candidates for the role of the Working Student in our Purchasing Team of the Supply Chain and Procurement Department. The main task would be to support the operations of team and take ownership in several of our projects in an environment that’s passionate about empowering customer self-expression with things they can use, wear and carry.
As a Working Student, you will be trained to our "Spread ways" and learn how to support the operations of the Purchasing team and relevant department. Then you would be involved into several projects where you can thrive, showcase your work and gain useful skills.
Your Responsibilities
- Support the purchasing and supply chain operations daily business
- Contribute to the optimisation of processes in the various supplier evaluation projects
- Getting in contact with suppliers and vendors for collecting, validating and updating information
- Utilise the data from our database for comparison projects
- Learn about and contribute to our supplier onboarding processes
- Together with the team, learn and work on the claims and returns processes
- You will explore new opportunities, contribute to the success of the team, while achieving Spread Group's goals
- Experience how to manipulate data and use them to make informed decisions.
- Get involved into different topics involving Procurement, Accounting, Warehousing, Logistics, Customer Service and Quality Control.
Your Profile
- You have completed commercial training or an economics degree
- You have prior knowledge about operational topics (purchasing, logistics, accounting or others)
- You have very good written and spoken German (B1+) and English skills
- You have good Excel skills
- You are strong in analytical thinking and work in a structured and independent manner
- You are an absolute team player and enthusiastic about new things
- Ideally, you are already familiar with the textile industry and have relevant product and market knowledge
